Friesian Standing within the Breed

Vador is a 2006 Ster Stallion. At his 3 year keuring in 2009 Vador was awarded his Ster Status and was chosen to become a Provisional Stallion (Less than 1% of the breed reaches this achievement). For an American owned and raised Friesian Stallion to become Provisional Stallion is an event that is so rare, it is almost unheard of.

Scoring a perfect score, 8 out of 8 points in his testing at the Trot, Friesian Type, and Conformation, and 7's at the Frame, Feet & Legs, and Walk, the judges were blown away and Vador was invited to move on to the next phase of testing to become an Approved Stallion. Due to circumstances beyond the owner's control, the timeline for the 2009 testing was missed and Vador was urged to continue with the 2010 process the following year. Vador has a wonderful Sire line, as all must be exceptional to become approved stallions. But unlike many, his mare lines are also exceptional. His Dam, Harma fan Veldbos, is of stamline 100 and is generally reserved for breeding in Holland. The owners of Vador were able to purchase this wonderful mare and have her imported to the United States in 2006 as a diamond in the rough. She has since also reached Ster status in the KFPS Registry and has produced 2 out of 2 Ster foals well on her way to Preferant. She is a full papered mare meaning that all of her ancestors must have reached a minimum of Ster status. A very difficult rating to achieve and is only awarded to the top 18% of the breed.

Performance

The owners have chosen to share this wonderful stallion with the public and enable other breeds to have an opportunity to benefit from a Friesian Stallion of this quality. Aside from the bloodlines, Vador turns heads wherever he goes. His presence is noble and he has substance without being bulky or heavy. He is known for his excellent manners and his kind and loving personality. Whether training or performing, Vador holds his composure and does not act "Studdy". He is well disciplined and shows great self-control. He is very well put together with a body type for performance.

Vador was evaluated for Dressage, Driving, and Saddle Seat by experts in all three fields and was determined that he had the ability and movement to go in any of the three directions and excel to the top levels. Our choice was Dressage and with his performance career beginning as a 4 year old under Jenni Hogan Dressage, Vador has excelled and proven himself by consistently scoring over 70% in dressage and winning Central Tennessee Dressage Association's Year End Championship Awards in both Introductory and Training Divisions his first year as a 4 year old!! This is a testament to his trainability, work ethic, and movement. Vador is currently schooling 1st and 2nd level movements and is expected to do beautifully this year as well.

Offspring and registries Vador's first offspring will be born this spring and we are expecting amazing foals. We have hand-picked a select group of mares for this first crop and all are of exceptional quality with show and performance records behind them as well. All of Vador's offspring are eligible for registrations in several registries. This is the first year Vador will be offered to the
public and we will be allowing a special introductory price this year. Take advantage of this low price for an exceptional Stallion. There is no other Friesian Stallion of this quality available for crossbreeding at this time.

Epie R.S.
Performance

Epie is naturally athletic and trainable.  He has been trained to be driven, trail ridden, shown in  exhibitions, and is now starting his dressage career. As a dressage horse he promises to continue turning heads. People are impressed with his sensible nature and quiet disposition. Epie possesses a naturally relaxed dressage frame, strong topline, and engaged hindleg.

Breeding

Epie is by Ouke 313 whose pedigree contains a very high percentage of Preferant blood. The Preferant status is given to a mare when she has produced four or more star offspring. It is given to a stallion after he produces a significant number of approved for breeding sons and star and model daughters. It is a symbol of reproducing top quality offspring. Ouke has 21 Preferants listed in five generations of his pedigree. He has more Preferant blood in his pedigree than any other breeding stallion in North America and tied for the top of all breeding stallions in the FPS. He is the high Preferant choice. Ouke himself is a beautiful stallion with a proud look. He has a striking front with a beautiful neck. He has very powerful hindquarters and it shows in his movement. At the trot he extends with "hang time." He truly floats across the ground. He is a true black Friesian with a sweet disposition. He has a heavy amount of feathers and an average amount of mane and tail. He has a lot of presence and is the image of power.
